KINGSVILLE, TEXAS — The Eastern New Mexico University men's basketball team (7-14, 0-8 LSC) fell to Texas A&M Kingsville Wednesday night despite a game-high 26 point outing by the Greyhounds leading scorer
John Gilliam (Jr., G, San Bernardino, Calif./Upland HS/Chaffey College).Gilliam went 7-of-16 from the floor, knocking down two three pointers along with 9-of-10 shooting from the free throw line. The scoring guard also recorded a game-high nine rebounds for the Greyhounds.
Jason Clardy (Jr., F, Indianapolis, Ind./Warren Central HS/ Midland College) added eight points and six rebounds.
The Greyhounds went 14-of-55 from the field compared to their opponents 25-of-57. The Javelinas had five players in double digits, led by Jordan Jahr with 17 points.
Eastern has now dropped its last two meetings against Kingsville and is 4-5 in their last nine meetings. The Greyhounds will host Angelo State University (19-1, 7-0 LSC) at 4 p.m. MST.
