PORTALES, N.M. — The Eastern New Mexico University women's basketball team will travel across the state of Texas this week, with a road contest at Texas A&M-Kingsville on Wednesday, and a home game against Angelo State on Saturday.
Kassandra Harris leads the Greyhounds with 12 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. She also has connected on 46 percent of her shots from the floor.
Sarah Stinnett is close behind, with 10.7 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.27 assists per game. Eastern is being outscored by a slim 67.7-64.9 margin.

Johna McClelland averaged a team-best 11 rebounds, and blocked seven shots.
Last week, Texas A&M-Kingsville returned to action for the first time since late December exhibitions against Lamar and Texas-San Antonio. The Javelinas dropped LSC games to Texas A&M-Commerce and Tarleton State.
Angelo State split a pair of Lone Star Conference games to open the new year. After a setback at Tarleton State, the Rambelles earned a close win over Texas A&M-Commerce.

The Hounds have won five of the last six meetings, which includes a season sweep last year.

ENMU escaped Hampton Inn Court with a 57-53 win on the strength of a 15-point, seven-rebound performance from
Jaylyn Cooper.
Brittany Gutierrez contributed 10 points, seven rebounds, and five blocked shots. The game was tied on seven occasions, the last coming with six minutes to play, when Ashley Viera drained a free throw to pull even at 45-all.
Jasmine Johnson followed with a layup to ignite a 6-0 ENMU run to take the lead for good. The Javelinas pulled with two points twice, but Eastern held on for the win.
Last season, Texas A&M-Kingsville posted an 0-26 record and finished ninth in the LSC.

which included a 77-69 win at Greyhound Arena. The Rambelles held a 47-37 lead with 15:56 left in the second half, but Stinnett scored 13 points to key a 19-5 run, which staked Eastern to a 56-52 lead. Angelo State would briefly retake the lead before ENMU pulled away. Stinnett finished the contest with a career-high 37 points and 10 rebounds.
Angelo State's last road win over Eastern came on
November 28, 2012, by a 72-64 score. Hannah Altheide paced ENMU with 14 points, while Lauren Holt had 23 points and 16 rebounds for ASU.
Last season, Angelo State posted a 9-18 record and finished eighth in the LSC with a mark of 4-12. The Rambelles dropped an 87-46 decision to West Texas A&M at the LSC Tournament.
