PORTALES, NM — With 14 wins in their last 16 games, the Eastern New Mexico University women's basketball team is ready to hit the road for a pair of critical Lone Star Conference contests. The trip will open on Thursday afternoon at Tarleton State, and conclude on Saturday at Texas A&M-Commerce.
Tipoff in Stephenville, Texas, is set for 4:30 p.m. on Thursday evening, and a 1 p.m. start time on Saturday in Commerce.

The Greyhounds already have posted their most wins in a season (15) since going 16-12 in the 2003-04 season, which also as the last time the team reached double figures in LSC wins (10-4). The squad's 11 conference victories also are the team's most since going 12-2 in the 1992-93 season. On Saturday, Head Coach
Josh Prock became the third coach in team history to guide the Hounds to 40 overall wins and 25 LSC wins.
Mikaehla Connor leads the Hounds with 11.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 0.79 blocks per game.
Kassandra Harris is right behind with 11.3 points per game and 6.0 rebounds.
Daeshi McCants is the squads' top rebounder with 6.5 per game. McCants has three of the teams' five double doubles this season, while Harris and Connor each have one.
Josh Prock is in his fourth season as head coach of the Greyhounds and has a 40-59 record at ENMU.
In the Series with Tarleton State
Eastern is 13-31 against Tarleton State, with a 5-16 road record in the series. The TexAnns have won the last 14 home games against ENMU, with Eastern's last win coming by a 51-49 score on January 29, 2000. Eastern New Mexico University claimed victory in that game when Brandi Bates connected on a three-point shot with just 2.3 seconds remaining. Bates posted a double double in the game with 12 points and 11 rebounds. ENMU held a 41-30 edge in rebounding.
