PORTALES, NM — This week, the Eastern New Mexico University women's basketball team (20-5; LSC 16-2) will conclude one of the finest regular seasons the program has seen in decades. The Hounds have already clinched a share of its first Lone Star Conference championship and will host its final two games prior to the LSC Tournament.
Tipoff against Angelo State is set for 5:30 p.m. on Thursday evening, followed by a 2 p.m. start time on Saturday against Texas A&M-Kingsville. Tickets for the Lone Star Conference Tournament will be on sale at both games at a reduced rate.

The Greyhounds are on a four-game win streak and have matched the 1990-91 season for the second-most wins in program history. With Saturday's win at Cameron, Eastern notched its third overall 20-win season and the first since a 23-5 mark in the 1992-93 season.
Daeshi McCants has a team-leading four double doubles, which included a 14-point, 11-rebound effort at Angelo State.
Kassandra Harris leads ENMU with 11.9 points per game, while
Mikaehla Connor is right behind with 11.5 points per game. McCants has pulled down a team-best 6.2 rebounds per game.
Josh Prock is in his fourth season as head coach of the Greyhounds and has a 47-63 record at ENMU.
In the Series with Angelo State
Eastern is 24-41 against Angelo State, which includes a 17-14 mark at home. The teams have split the last eight meetings, with
ENMU snapping a three-game skid in the series, last month.
Earlier in the season,
Mikaehla Connor scored a career-best 25 points, with nine coming in overtime against the Rambelles. The performance propelled the Hounds to a 76-72 overtime victory, which stands as Angelo State's lone home defeat this season.
The series dates back to the 1984-85 season, which saw ENMU win both games.

After last Saturday's win over West Texas A&M, Angelo State is in sole possession of second place in the LSC standings with a 14-4 record. Overall, the Rambelles are 20-4 and have won their last two games, since a 79-77 setback at Tarleton State.
Kevin Baker is in his second season as head coach at Angelo State. He has a record of 44-12.
In the Series with Texas A&M-Kingsville
Eastern is 35-28 against Texas A&M-Kingsville, which includes a 19-11 mark at home. The Hounds have won the last five games in the series and eight of the last nine.
Earlier in the season,
Eastern posted a 63-52 win at Texas A&M-Kingsville. Connor paced the Hounds with 17 points and five boards, while Harris and
Johna McClelland chipped in 15 and 12 points, respectively.
The series dates back to the 1984-85 season, which saw the Javelinas win both games.
