Leslie Reyes allowed just two hits over the final five innings, while
Erikka Burke registered her 24
th career homer as the Eastern New Mexico University softball team opened play at the St. Mary's Classic. The Greyhounds 2-4 faced an early two-run deficit but rallied for a 5-4 in at The Park at St. Mary's University.

- Burke and Ashley Lopez drove in runs in the top of the first inning to give the Hounds a 2-0 lead
- The Rangers responded with three runs in the bottom of the first inning
- Reyes took the circle in relief after Regis held a 1-0 lead and allowed just one earned run the rest of the way
- After RU tacked on a fourth run in the second, Burke homered to lead off the third frame
- Later in the third, ENMU capitalized on a Ranger error, with Lopez and Elena Garcia scoring to give ENMU a 5-4 lead it would not relinquish
- Reyes allowed just three baserunners over the final five inning, with none reaching second base

- RU's Taylor Armitage allowed three earned runs on 10 hits and struck out six batters
