PORTALES, NM —Junior second baseman Karina Moreno cracked a leadoff double in the third inning and scored for the Eastern New Mexico University softball team (18-32; LSC 9-19) in Friday's series opener at Schaeffer Park. 12^th-ranked West Texas A&M (36-10; LSC 19-6) charged to an early lead and pulled away for a 14-1 win in Lone Star Conference action.

• Moreno's third-inning double was ENMU's first hit of the game
• After a Kiana Zerr ground ball advanced Moreno, she scored on an infield hit from Elysa Rodriguez
• Kamalani Penenku also doubled in the Greyhound fifth for ENMU's third hit of the game
• Ashley Hardin batted 3-for-4 for WT and drove in three runs
