PORTALES, N.M. – The Eastern New Mexico Greyhound Sound Marching Band is excited to announced the addition of a new tradition before kickoff at the Greyhound football team's home opener against Central Washington University on Thursday, September 2.
During the Greyhound Sound pre-game show, members of the band will lead fans in the singing of the school fight song, O Hail ENMU.
The band hopes this new tradition will fully engage ENMU's fans and supporters while also enhancing the already spectacular game day experience. "We feel this new tradition will further engage our already passionate and loyal Greyhound fan base," said
Dustin Seifert, director of the Greyhound Sound.
The idea for the new tradition came from Dr. Sid Shuler, who worked with Seifert to bring the concept to life.
The Greyhound Sound invites fans to join them for the Dawg Walk, March to the Stadium, and Honor Wall Concert on game days. Events start 85 minutes prior to kickoff.
