PORTALES, N.M. – After starting the conference season 2-0, Eastern New Mexico Women's Basketball plays its final non-conference opponent of the season as they entertain Northern New Mexico College on Monday, Dec. 12. The game will take place at Greyhounds Arena, with game time scheduled for 6 p.m.

ENMU began its Lone Star Conference play on the road, picking up two road wins over St. Edward's, 76-56, and against St. Mary's, 72-65. Against the Hilltoppers, the Greyhounds picked up a career high 20 points from
Bella Stone with
Deja Adrian adding 22 points during the win. In the win against the Rattlers, Eastern were clinical at the free throw line (22-27), along with an Adrian career best 26 points.
SCOUTING THE HOUNDS
Overall, the Hounds hold a 4-2 standing, including a perfect 2-0 in conference. The Greyhounds put up 64.8 points per game (ppg) and hold opponents to just 57.2 ppg. Eastern post a shooting percentage of 36.1%, 29.1% from behind the arc, and 69.1% at the charity stripe. For rebounding, ENMU find 40.3 rebounds per game (rpg), pick up 9.8 assists per game (apg), collect 10.8 steals per game (spg), and handout 1.5 blocks per game (bpg).
Adrian has been one of the key players for the Greyhounds this season, posting a team best 21.0 ppg and 8.5 rpg.
Edecia Beck contributes 10.3 ppg in their four games played so far this season.
Lazurea Saunders is an important player on both sides of the ball providing 8.5 ppg, 6.3 rpg, and a team high 2.5 spg. Stone posts a team best 3.7 apg, contributing 9.8 ppg.
Aside from standing in 3
rd in the conference standings, ENMU hold several statistical top five marks. The Greyhounds have the top scoring defense in the LSC, holding opponents to just 57.2 ppg. Eastern are also one of the top teams in steals, forcing 10.83 steals per contest. Individually, Adrian has stood out as on of the top player in the LSC, leading the conference in scoring (21.0 ppg), 8.5 rpg (4
th in LSC), 2
nd in the LSC for free throw percentage (88.9%), along with a field goal percentage of .517 (4
th in conference). Stone also stands as one of the top distributors in the conference, with their 3.7 apg landing in 4
th.
SCOUTING THE EAGLES
Northern New Mexico come into the contest with a 3-11 standing, having won their last two games against SAGU American Indian College, winning 80-34 and 66-51. The Eagles have matched up against familiar opponents so far this season, having played Division II opposition in New Mexico Highlands, Fort Lewis, and Western New Mexico. Against the Mustangs of WNMU, the Eagles fell 72-55.

Paulina Lopez-Cervantes led the Eagles against the Mustangs that night, scoring 15 points on 5-12 shooting from the field. Ruth Sodipe contributed a team best 11 rebounds in the contest while adding seven points. Miranda Salazar contributed five assists during the game, playing the entire 40 minutes.
