"We had a rough start to the day in game one versus CCU," said Head Softball Coach Amanda Fefel. "We didn't have quality at bats and our defense wasn't on point either. Lisette (Urquidez) came in for relief for Taylor (Harrison) after the first inning to help slow up the CCU momentum, but it wasn't enough for us to come back offensively" said Fefel.

After a scoreless first inning, the Greyhound bats came alive in the second inning. With the bases loaded after three walks, Bustillos singled to score the Hounds first two runs. FROM THE SOURCE
"Despite the outcome in game one, the team fired on all cylinders against Chadron State" said Fefel. "Our hitters were able to adjust at the plate and execute with runners in scoring positions. Maite (Bustillos) sparked things for our offense with a two-run single to get us on the board first" said Fefel. "Jokaira (Paredes) and Lisette (Urquidez) have been big contributors as well in our lineup. Brook (Leger) threw all five innings and produced 10 strikeouts and only three hits. We look forward to the last game of the tournament tomorrow against UC-Colorado Springs" said Fefel.
