PORTALES, N.M. – The Eastern New Mexico Athletics
department acknowledges the efforts of its student-athletes in the classroom. ENMU student athletes finished the 2021-22 season strong, as they accumulated a 3.16 GPA for the spring 2022 semester.
Women's basketball led all programs with a 3.69 team GPA, while women's soccer and softball trailed just behind with a 3.42 and 3.39 GPA, respectively. Baseball led the men's team with a cumulative 3.166 GPA.
"We are so proud of the young men and women who represent us in such an honorable way. Their accomplishments as athletes are what we commonly praise, but it is their academic achievements we are even more thrilled about," said Director of Athletics,
Dr. Paul Weir.
Additionally, the Lone Star Conference also announced the Spring 2022 Commissioner's Honor Roll. In order to qualify for the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll, a student-athlete must have a 3.30 GPA for the current semester and be on the roster.
In total, ENMU saw 95 student-athletes named to the honor roll, with 28 Greyhounds recording a perfect 4.0 GPA this past semester.
