TYLER, Texas – Eastern New Mexico Volleyball suffered a 3-0 defeat on the road to UT Tyler at Louise Herrington Patriot Center on Friday evening. The Greyhounds slip to 9-6 overall with 0-3 LSC record. The Patriots move to 9-5 on the season with a 2-1 LSC standing.

The Patriots jumped out to a 6-3 advantage in the early goings of the first set. From then, the Patriots posted 9-2 run to get out in front 15-6, with a
Gracelyn Stubbs kill ending the run. UT Tyler held onto the large lead to take the set 25-15.

Set number two saw UTT jump to a 6-1 lead, but Eastern cut into the lead with three straight points. Stubbs started the spurt with a block then a service ace, and
Adriana Puni found a solo block to close out the run. The Patriots responded back with a 13-3 stretch, to hold a 19-7 lead. The home team finished the second set 25-12, going up 2-0 on sets.

In the third frame, UT Tyler quickly got out to 7-4 advantage, and quickly improved that advantage to 17-10. Six straight points helped the Patriots go up 23-10, and finished the third set ahead 25-14, taking the match 3-0.
NOTABLE STATS
- The Patriots tallied 34 kills compared to the Hounds 19 kills.
- Stubbs posted a team best six kills, while Kali Nelson supplied five kills.
- Jaylynn Nihipali and Qitana Sapiga supplied nine assists during the season.
- Sapiga paced ENMU for digs with eight, while Getsemani Carrasco provided six digs.
- Puni led the way with four total blocks (all solo), while Stubbs provided two solo blocks.
