PORTALES, N.M. – With just over one week until the start of the 2023 baseball season, Spencer Roach has received an honorable mention in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) South Central Region 2023 Preseason All-Region Team.

Roach returns to the Greyhounds following an outstanding 2022 season where he led the Greyhounds in batting average (.395), on-base percentage (.449), slugging percentage (.551), OPS (1.000), hits (66), RBIs (36), homeruns (4), and total bases (92). His performance culminated in an All-LSC Second Team node at the end of the 2022 campaign.

The all-region team was voted on by a committee of eight voters with four representing each conference (Lone Star and RMAC).

The Greyhounds open their 2023 campaign on February 3-5 in San Angelo, Texas as they take on the Angelo State University Rams in a four-game Lone Star Conference series at Foster Field.
