PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico Woman's Basketball heads east for the final time in the regular season, with a pair of games against Oklahoma Christian and UAFS. The Greyhounds will head to Oklahoma City, Okla. for Thursday, Feb. 16, with first tip set for 4:30 p.m. against the Eagles. Then, ENMU will trek to Fort Smith, Ark. to face the Lions on Saturday, Feb. 18, with game time set for 12:00 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Greyhounds faced two of the top teams in the West Division in it's last pair of games, taking a contest against West Texas A&M, 68-62, and falling to Lubbock Christian, 66-61. In the win over the Lady Buffs,
Ashley Shipley poured in a career high 19 points, including shooting 4-6 from behind the arc.
Deja Adrian provided 11 points and 10 rebounds in the game, while
Bella Stone contributed 12 points and nine boards. In the defeat against the Lady Chaps, Shipley paced the team with 15 points, and
Edecia Beck chipped in with 13 points.
SCOUTING THE HOUNDS
The Greyhounds stand in a strong position to reach the Lone Star Conference Tournament with just four games to play, holding a 12-11 record and a 9-9 conference record. Eastern are scoring 64.8 points per game (ppg) while allowing 62.0 ppg. From the field, ENMU are shooting 35.0% while holding a 28.4% shooting percentage from three, and 69.5% from the foul line. Eastern secure 42.5 rebounds per game (rpg), 10.7 assists per game (apg), and 10.0 steals per game (spg).
Adrian has been a force for the ENMU lineup, leading the team with 16.6 ppg and 6.8 rpg. Beck is just behind in points and rebounds, 11.5 ppg and 6.5 rpg. Shipley posts 10.6 ppg, while
Lazurea Saunders picks up 5.7 rpg. Stone contributes on both sides of the ball, leading the team in assists (3.5 apg) and steals (1.9 spg).
Around the conference, ENMU is second in the LSC for rebounding (42.5 rpg), boosted by a conference best 14.7 offensive rebounds per game. Six different Greyhounds find an average of 4.5 rebounds or more. The Greyhounds are 4
th in the LSC for steals with 10.0 per game. Individually, Adrian is the second leading scorer in the conference (16.6 ppg). Shipley is one of the top three point shooters in the conference, converting 35.1% of attempts from behind the arc (3
rd in LSC), and is 5
th in the conference for three pointers made per game (2.2 3PTFG per game). Beck is third in free throw shooting in the conference (84.2%).
SCOUTING THE EAGLES
Oklahoma Christian have had a much improved season from their 2021-22 campaign, under first year head coach Markeith Brown. In its last LSC games, the Eagles picked up a win over St. Mary's University, 60-55, then fell to St. Edward's University 80-76.
Overall, Oklahoma Christian are 5-18 overall with a conference record of 5-14. OC find close to 60 points per night (60.7 ppg). The Eagles hold a 35.9% field goal percentage, 25.5% from behind the arc, and 67.9% from the foul line. Oklahoma Christian's strength is their rebounding, pulling down 39.7 rebounds per game (4
th in LSC), and only allow 35.0 rpg (5
th in LSC). OC produce 11.8 assists per game, grabbing 9.1 spg, and post 1.8 bpg.
Brooklyn Bain is programs top scorer and rebounder, averaging 14.1 ppg and 8.4 rpg (4
th in LSC). Kate Bradley runs the offense with a team high 3.0 assists per game, while adding 9.3 ppg and leading the team in three point shooting. Defensively, Kia White and Daijah Torns each find 1.6 steals per game.
SCOUTING THE LIONS
UAFS come into this weekend after a split in its last pair of contests. The Lions were dealt a 74-71 loss against St. Edward's, but picked up a 49-44 win over St. Mary's. UAFS will play Western New Mexico University on Thursday, Feb. 16, before taking on the Greyhounds.
With just two weeks remaining in the regular season, UAFS stand at 8-17 this season with a 6-13 LSC record. The Lions offense score 61.7 ppg, and their defense holds teams to 70.5 ppg (2
nd most in the conference). UAFS are one of the top three point shooting teams in the conference, connecting on 32.0% of attempts from range. From the field, UAFS hold a 38.3% shooting percentage, and 67.2% from the free throw line. The Lions also pick up 35.8 rpg, 10.4 apg, 7.2 spg, and 3.0 bpg.
Aaliyah Prince is teams top scorer, producing 14.1 ppg and holding a 45.1% field goal percentage (4
th in LSC). Hannah Boyett is one of the conference top three point shooter, scoring 9.7 ppg, connecting on 37.7% of attempts from deep (2
nd in LSC), making 2.3 threes per game (3
rd in LSC). Riley Hayes is also an important contributor, scoring 8.7 ppg and making 2.2 threes per game (4
th in LSC). Kayla Brundidge leads the team in rebounding (6.4 rpg) and blocking (1.2 bpg).
