PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico Women's Basketball will put its three-game win streak on the line this weekend, as conference powerhouses West Texas A&M University and Lubbock Christian University come to Portales. Eastern will face West Texas A&M on Thursday, Feb. 9, with first tip scheduled for 5:15 p.m. Then, ENMU will face Lubbock Christian on Saturday, Feb. 11, with the LSC clash set to start at 1 p.m.

PROMOTIONS
This weekend, several promotions will take place at both games this weekend. On Thursday, the first 300 students that come to the game will receive a free hot dog, courtesy of Sodexo. The ENMU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be holding a 50/50 raffle, with proceeds going to the Make A Wish Foundation. On Saturday, be sure to wear pink as the Greyhounds will sport pink jerseys for Breast Cancer Awareness Day, with the Zeta Sorority holding a 50/50 raffle to go towards breast cancer research.

Eastern picked up two crucial home wins in their last games, knocking off Midwestern State, 80-55, and Cameron, 60-48.
Deja Adrian sparked the Greyhound lineup with 40 points over the two games, and finished shooting over 50% from the field.
Ashley Shipley added 18 points (7-11FG) during the win over the Mustangs, while
Edecia Beck finished with a double-double in the win over the Aggies (11 points and 12 rebounds).
SCOUTING THE HOUNDS
After two wins last week, Eastern return to over .500 on the season at 11-10, along with an 8-8 LSC record. The Greyhounds are scoring 64.9 points per game (ppg) while allowing 61.9 ppg. From the field, ENMU are shooting 34.9% while holding a 28.5% shooting percentage from three, and 70.0% from the foul line. Eastern secure 43.0 rebounds per game (rpg), 10.8 assists per game (apg), and 10.1 steals per game (spg).

Adrian has been vital in the ENMU lineup, leading the program with 17.3 ppg and 6.9 rpg. Beck is just behind in points and rebounds, 11.6 ppg and 6.1 rpg. Shipley contributes 9.9 ppg, while
Lazurea Saunders pulls down 6.1 rpg.
Bella Stone spearheads the team in both assists (3.5 rpg) and steals (1.8 spg).

Around the conference, ENMU is the top rebounding team in the LSC (43.0 rpg), boosted by a conference best 15.2 offensive rebounds per game. Seven different Greyhounds find an average of 4.5 rebounds or more. The Greyhounds are 4
th in the LSC for steals with 10.1 per game. Individually, Adrian is the second leading scorer in the conference (17.3 ppg) and is 4
th in the LSC for field goal percentage (.443). Shipley is one of the top three point shooters in the conference, converting 33.1% of attempts from behind the arc (5
th in LSC). Beck is second in free throw shooting in the conference (85.1%), while Adrian sits in 4
th place for free throw percentage (81.4%).
SCOUTING THE LADY BUFFS
West Texas A&M have rebounded after back-to-back losses, to now hold a three-game win streak. The Lady Buffs picked up an impressive win over #20 Angelo State University, 80-64, who currently stand at the top of the LSC West Division. Additionally, WT beat UT Permian Basin 72-65 to maintain a 10-0 home record.
Coming into the weekend, West Texas A&M sit at 18-6, with a 11-5 conference standing (4
th in the LSC). The Lady Buffs hold the top scoring offense in the LSC at 71.3 ppg. WT sit near the top for percentages, shooting 41.3% from the floor (5
th in LSC), 32.2% from behind the arc (5th in the LSC), and 75.5% from the foul line (2nd in the LSC). West Texas A&M secure a 40.9 rebounds per game (3
rd in LSC), and only allow 34.9 rpg (5
th in LSC). WT produce 3.9 blocks per game (3
rd in LSC), grabbing 6.5 spg, and giving out 12.5 apg.
Karly Motschenbacher is the teams top scorer (13.0 ppg), assist provider (61 assists, 2.7 apg), and creates the most steals (1.9 spg). Nyalam Thabach comes into the game after claiming LSC Offensive Player of the Week, averaging 9.5 ppg and a team high 7.2 rpg. Thabach also leads the team in blocks, posting 1.5 bpg (3
rd in the LSC). Motschenbacher was recognized as the LSC Defensive Player of the Week this past weekend.
SCOUTING THE LADY CHAPS
The Lady Chaps have hit a snag in their season, going 3-3 in their last six games including 1-1 this past weekend. Lubbock Christian saw it's 113 home winning streak snapped in a 60-57 loss against #20 Angelo State, while picking up a 70-50 win over UT Permian Basin. LCU will play Western New Mexico University on Thursday, Feb. 9, before coming to Greyhound Arena.
Overall, Lubbock Christian currently have a 16-8 record, along with a 11-5 LSC record. LCU are scoring 69.2 ppg and allow just 58.9 ppg. The Lady Chaps hold the shooting triple crown, leading the conference in field goal percentage (43.6%), 34.5% on three-point field goals, and 77.2% at the foul line. Lubbock Christian also picks up 37.7 rpg, 14.0 apg (3
rd in LSC), 6.6 spg, and 3.3 bpg (5
th in the LSC).
Grace Foster comes in as one of the top all-around student-athletes for the Lady Chaps, scoring 15.1 ppg (5
th in LSC), 9.2 rpg (2
nd in LSC), and leads the conference in free throw shooting (90.2%). Audrey Robertson adds 11.1 ppg to the teams cause, with Maci Maddox running the offense with 4.6 apg (3
rd in the LSC) and 9.8 ppg. Reese Schumann makes their presence known defensively, leading the team with 1.4 bpg (4
th in LSC).
