PORTALES, N.M. – Ten programs earned a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) or higher during the spring 2023 semester.

"I am proud of all of the student-athletes for committing to excellence in the classroom and on the field this year," said Assistant Athletic Director Elizabeth Acosta when asked about the 2023 spring semester GPA's for the athletic department. "As a department, the 3.07 GPA speaks volumes and continues to show the effort put into academic achievement."

The men's teams earning those marks include rodeo (3.31), basketball (3.20), soccer (3.18), and baseball (3.14). The women's programs holding a GPA above 3.0 are rodeo (3.58), softball (3.41), soccer (3.36), basketball (3.28), volleyball (3.06), and track and field (3.06).

Overall as an athletic department, ENMU held a 3.07 mark – .12 higher than the previous semester. Also, all but one program improved its spring GPA compared to the fall.
