LAS VEGAS, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico cross country showcased continued improvement at the New Mexico Highlands XC Jam Thursday evening.
"I think they ran their best race of the season," said assistant coach Ray Putnam when asked about the men's performance. "I believe they are capable of doing great things in these next two meets."
Official results were not made available by the host institution, however Putnam said that the men's 2-5 runners held a tight split within a minute of each other on the 7k course.
The race was held at the Gene Torres Golf Course which sits at nearly 7,000 feet in altitude.
"We saw some great things from the women's team," said Putnam on the 5k race. "They have been doing really well in practice and it showed. They will be ready for the Greyhound Invite."
The women's team saw four finishers on the day.
When results are made available, they will be posted to
