Eric Williams as the defensive player of the week after his performance in a 28-26 victory for the Greyhounds this week.
The senior defensive back earns the recognition after posting a career-high 12 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss, including one sack in a victory over New Mexico Highlands. The Las Vegas, Nevada native also forced a fumble late in the third quarter to aid Eastern to the game-clinching scoring drive.
This honor marks the first for Williams in his Greyhound career.
ENMU's defense gave up just 66 passing yards to the Cowboys and Williams played a major role in that effort as he also had a pass deflection in the contest.
