PORTALES, N.M. – Following a return to the win column this past Saturday, Eastern New Mexico Women's Basketball plays a pair of Lone Star Conference (LSC) West Division games at Greyhound Arena this weekend. First, Eastern will battle Lubbock Christian University on Thursday, Jan. 18, beginning at 5 p.m. Then, the Greyhounds tangle with West Texas A&M on Saturday, Jan. 20, with the first tip set for 1 p.m.

Eastern got back in the win column after a pair of games in their last outings. ENMU fell in overtime to Cameron University (72-68), with
Ishuana Hunter recording a double-double with a team best 16 points and 13 rebounds. Then, the Greyhounds held on in a tight contest with Midwestern State (65-61),
Deja Adrian led Eastern to the win with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
Following the victory on Saturday, the Greyhounds hold a 5-9 record on the season with a 1-7 conference record. Eastern are averaging 60.9 points per game (ppg), while conceding 63.8 ppg. The Greyhound offense holds a 38.3 field goal percentage, connecting on 27.2% of three-point field goals, and are 6
th in the LSC for free throw percentage (74.4%). Eastern defend the glass very well, securing 34.4 rebounds per game and allow just 32.8 rpg (3
rd best in LSC). ENMU's defense secures 10.5 steals per game (spg), the 5
th best in the LSC. Additionally, the Greyhounds pick up 9.7 assists per game (apg) and 1.1 blocks per game (bpg).

Eastern have five different student-athletes averaging over 9.0 ppg, led by Hunter's 13.8 ppg in their first four games this season. In that time, Hunter also leads the team with 7.8 rpg and 2.5 spg in that short period. Adrian (12.2 ppg) and
Jamila Nansikombi-Gunter (11.1 ppg) are key figures in the ENMU offense, while Adrian leads the team in total rebounds (77 rebounds) and Nansikombi-Gunter leads the squad for total steals (24 steals).
SCOUTING THE LADY CHAPS
Lubbock Christian come in with the best record in the West Division, standing at 12-3 on the season, 7-1 in conference play, and 4-0 in West Division action. The Lady Chaps are amid a five-game winning streak, recently beating UT Permian Basin (74-67, OT) and Angelo State (67-54).

Statistically, Lubbock Christian are one of the most efficient teams in the nation. Scoring 66.2 ppg and giving up 58.3 ppg, LCU's 44.6% field goal percentage is 3
rd in the LSC and 28
th best in Division II. The Lady Chaps are even better at from behind the arc and at the foul line, shooting 37.9% from three (best in LSC, 4
th in the nation), while holding a 78.4% free throw percentage (best in LSC, 8
th in DII). Underneath the basket, the Chaps collect 33.0 rpg and provide 1.7 bpg. LCU adds 13.2 apg to the offense, and 7.3 spg on defense.

Recently named LSC Offensive Player of the Week for the second straight week (third time this season), Grace Foster paces the LCU offense with 19.4 ppg (leads LSC). Foster holds an efficient 50.8% field goal percentage (5

SCOUTING THE LADY BUFFS
West Texas A&M have struggled to start the New Year, with just one win in their last four conference games. Overall, the Lady Buffs sit at 9-7 on the season and are .500 in conference play at 4-4. WT suffered a pair of double-digit losses in their last outings, falling to Angelo State (70-58) and UT Permian Basin (66-53) at home.
The Buffs are scoring at a rate of 66.8 ppg and give up 67.4 ppg. From the floor, WT is shooting an even 40.0% from the field, 28.9% from range, and 76.9% at the foul line (2
nd best in the LSC). The Lady Buffs secure 36.9 rpg, distribute 11.7 apg, gather 5.9 spg, and stand as one of the top blocking teams in the conference (3.3 bpg, 3
rd in LSC).

West Texas A&M bring a balanced attack to Greyhound Arena on Saturday, with six different student-athletes averaging over 7.0 ppg, as Hollie Stalder leads the group with 10.6 ppg. Nyalam Thabach provides a line of 9.4 ppg, 7.4 rpg, and 1.3 bpg, leading the team in rebounds and blocks. Karley Motschenbacher paces the team in steals with 1.5 spg, in addition to 9.3 ppg.
