PORTALES, N.M. – ENMU Women's Basketball begins 2024 in Texas for a pair of conference clashes. First, the Greyhounds head to Odessa, Texas to tangle with UT Permian Basin on Thursday, Jan. 4, with first tip set at 4:15 p.m. (MST). Then, Eastern travel to San Angelo, Texas to battle Angelo State on Saturday, Jan. 6, with a start time of 12 p.m. (MST).

ENMU looks to break their four-game losing skid with a record of 4-6 and a 0-4 LSC standing. The Greyhounds offense is averaging 60.7 points per game (ppg), while holding opponents to 63.5 ppg. Eastern sits at 39.9% shooting from the floor, 28.6% from behind the arc, and 73.8% at the foul line. Additionally, the Greyhounds secure 34.0 rebounds per game (rpg), pass out 9.9 assists per game (apg), poke out 9.7 steals per game (spg), and contribute 1.0 blocks per game (bpg).

Adrian (12.7 ppg, 5.3 rpg),
Jamila Nansikombi-Gunter (11.9 ppg, 6.0 rpg), and Oduah (10.7 ppg, 4.4 rpg) all average more than 10 ppg, with those three leading the rebounding effort for ENMU. Oduah paces the Greyhounds for assists (2.2 apg) and Nansikombi-Gunter leads the team in steals (2.1 spg) and blocks (0.5 bpg).

Around the LSC, Eastern is third in the conference for protecting the glass. The Greyhounds only give up 32.1 rebounds per game, just 1.2 rebounds behind conference leaders UT Tyler (30.9 rpg)
SCOUTING THE FALCONS
To start 2024, UT Permian Basin sit at 8-2 overall and have a 3-1 standing in the LSC riding a four-game winning streak. Prior to this weekend's games, the Falcons beat Northern N.M., 85-52, on Dec. 15.

nd in LSC), while giving up just 64.8 ppg. The UTPB offense is boasted by 42.8% field goal shooting, 31.6% three-point shooting (5

Alexus Quaadman paces the team with a double-double, leading the team with 12.7 ppg and a conference best 11.5 rpg. Andreea Mancha (12.6 ppg) sits as one of the top three-point shooters in the LSC, shooting 41.8% from deep (2
nd in LSC), with a conference best 2.8 made three-pointers per game. Kamryn Lemon (12.3 ppg) and Avalon Munoz (10.3 ppg) are also big contributors to the Falcons high flying offense.
SCOUTING THE RAMBELLES
Reigning LSC Tournament Champions, Angelo State come in with a 9-4 record, 3-1 in LSC play, winning nine of their 11 games. Before the holiday break, the Rambelles bested Division III Bridgewater State, 88-79, and Hawaii-Hilo, 69-62, at the Big Island Holiday Classic.
Angelo State start the new year against Western New Mexico, Jan. 4, averaging 72.1 ppg (3
rd in the LSC) and allow 66.7 ppg. ASU slash 40.4 FG%, 29.9 3PT%, and 68.2 FT%, grabbing 41.5 rpg (2
nd best in LSC). The Rambelles lead the conference in blocks with 4.38 bpg and is second in the conference for assists with 17.23 apg.
The duo of Tayianna McGhee-Pleasant and Sawyer Lloyd combine for 32.8 ppg and 15.3 rpg. McGhee-Pleasant sits 4
th in the conference for scoring (16.6 ppg) and 3
rd for rebounding (8.8 rpg), while Lloyd contributes 16.2 ppg and 6.5 rpg. Madeline Stephens is the only other Rambelle, along with McGhee-Pleasant and Lloyd, to start every game this season, posting 10.8 ppg and 6.4 rpg.
