PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico Women's Basketball return home for two West Division Lone Star Conference (LSC) matchups this weekend. First, the Greyhounds take on Angelo State this Thursday, Feb. 1, with first tip expected to commence at 5 p.m. Then, Eastern will battle UT Permian Basin on Saturday, Feb. 3, with tip-off scheduled for 1 p.m. Both games this weekend are sponsored by Xcel Energy.

Eastern return to Portales after suffering a pair of close defeats on the road to Texas A&M International and Texas A&M-Kingsville. During the loss versus TAMIU, 60-56,
Jamila Nansikombi-Gunter paced the team with 17 points along with eight rebounds, with
Jaz Salon posting a season best eight assists in the game. Against the Javelinas, 62-56,
Deja Adrian and
Ishuana Hunter led the Greyhound scoring with 20 points and 18 points, respectively.
SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
Holding a record of 6-12, Eastern are scoring just over 60 points per game (ppg) and allow 64.3 ppg. Eastern New Mexico shoot 38.8% from the floor, 26.9% from behind the arc, and 74.1 at the charity stripe. ENMU records 33.2 rebounds per game (rpg), while providing 10.4 assists per game (apg). The Greyhounds defense finds 10.2 steals per game (spg), while recording 1.4 blocks per game (bpg).

Hunter standouts out on both ends of the floor, posting a team high 16.9 ppg and 7.3 rpg in eight games this season. Adrian and Nasikombi-Gunter are also big factors for the ENMU offense, with Adrian providing 12.9 ppg and Nansikombii-Gunter contributing 10.6 ppg. Both are near the top for rebounding for the team, with 5.3 rpg each. Salon's 2.5 assists per game is a boost to the ENMU offense.

Around the Lone Star Conference, Eastern allows just 32.5 rpg (3rd in the LSC) and find 10.17 steals per game (5th in LSC). Nansikombi-Gunter is 4th in the conference for steals per game (2.5 spg).
SCOUTING THE RAMBELLES
Angelo State come to the Land of Enchantment after back-to-back wins over St. Mary's and St. Edward's. The Belles beat St. Mary's 75-71 in a close contest, while posting a more comfortable win against St. Edward's, 76-68. ASU now sits at 15-6 overall with a 9-3 conference record.

The Rambelles stand as one of the top scoring teams in the conference, with 71.4 ppg (4
th in LSC), while being the best rebounding team in the conference (41.9 rpg, 29.5 defensive rebounds per game). ASU have high success sharing the ball (17.48 apg, 2
nd in LSC, 13
th in DII) and defending the basket (4.5 bpg, leads LSC, 19
th in DII). Angelo State holds a 40.9 field goal percentage, connecting on 28.9% of three-point attempts, and 69.3% of their free throws. The Rambelles also add 8.4 assists per game.

The Falcons are currently on a five-game win streak (11-1 in last 12 games), winning their last games against St. Edward's (68-63) and St. Mary's (73-36).
