PORTALES, N.M. – Following a 2-0 start, Eastern New Mexico Women's Basketball heads to the Sonner State to face Southwestern Oklahoma State on Thursday, November 14, at 4:30 p.m. (MST) / 5:30 p.m. (CST) at Pioneer Cellular Event Center.

SERIES INSIGHT
- ENMU (of the Lone Star Conference) and SWOSU (of the Great American Conference) meet in non-conference action for 12th time in series history. The Bulldogs lead 7-4 over the Greyhounds, last meeting in 2010.
- Southwestern Oklahoma State has won the last two meetings against Eastern, while sporting a 6-4 record in the last ten occasions.
- The Greyhounds last beat the Bulldogs in 2006, with the Greyhounds winning 79-50 in Portales. ENMU's only road win against SWOSU came back on Jan. 10, 2004, as Eastern pulled out an 81-70 victory.
- The two teams met for the first time in 1996 at a neutral site, with Southwestern Oklahoma State taking a 53-44 win.
SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
- Eastern New Mexico come into Thursday contest with a 2-0 record following an unbeaten weekend in Colorado. In the season opener, ENMU held off New Mexico Highlands, 74-63, then comfortably beat Fort Lewis, 67-48, on Saturday night.
- As a team, the Greyhounds are averaging 70.5Â points per game, while allowing just 55.5 ppg (+ 15.0 ppg). On the glass, Eastern is pulling down 39.5 rebounds per game, while holding a +7.5 edge on rebounding. Eastern is slashing 46.6% from the field, 38.7% from behind the arc, and 72.4% at the foul line.
- After the opening two games, three Greyhounds are averaging over 10 points per game, with Kaitlyn Edmondson leading the charge with 12.5 ppg. Julieta Ceja and Jaz Salon support the scoring with 11.5 ppg. Nataya Lockett has averaged 8.5 points per game after the opening weekend.
- Several Greyhounds help in the rebounding, with Edmondson's 5.0 rpg leading the way. Ceja, Ishuana Hunter, and Trinity Hudson all have over four boards per game. Salon leads the team in both assists (2.5 apg) and steals (3.5 spg).
SCOUTING THE LADY BULLDOGS
- Southwestern Oklahoma State also enter Thursday's clash with a 2-0 record, picking up a pair of victories in their first weekend. SWOSU opened the season with a 64-55 victory over Northeastern State, while moving to 2-0 after a 71-60 road win over Rogers State.
- The Bulldogs are scoring 67.5 ppg, allowing 57.7 ppg (+10.0 ppg). SWOSU did struggle on the glass in the opening two games, averaging 25.0 rebounds per game, with a margin of -14.5. The team is posting a field goal percentage of 41.4%, hitting 21.1% of three-pointers, and 83.8% at the charity stripe.
- Averi Zinn leads the team in scoring after the first two games, posting 16 points per contest. A. Zinn is supported by 10.5 points from Hailey Grant and Mason Jones. The three Bulldogs find their way to the free throw line, with each taking at least eight attempts this season.
- At the basket, Lanie Gooch has a team best 6.0 rpg, while A. Zinn pulls in 4.5 boards per game. Jones and Grant lead the defense with 2.0 steals per game, while Jones adds one block per game.
