PORTALES, N.M. – After two weeks away, Eastern New Mexico Women's Basketball has a pair of home games this weekend against LSC East Division opponents. First, Eastern battle Oklahoma Christian on Thursday, Feb. 22, with tip-off scheduled for 5 p.m. Then, the Greyhounds entertain UAFS on Saturday, Feb. 24, beginning at 1 p.m.

This past weekend, ENMU went 0-2 in a pair of rough road contests. During the road loss to West Texas A&M,
Ishuana Hunter posted a game high 24 points and 12 rebounds, as
Deja Adrian added 18 points, during a 70-62 defeat. In a defeat to Lubbock Christian,
Ashley Shipley and Adrian provided 11 points each in a 66-45 loss.
SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
Eastern New Mexico returns to Greyhound Arena sporting an 8-16 record, while holding a 4-14 conference record. ENMU averages 60.0 points per game (ppg) while allowing 64.4 ppg. The Greyhounds provide a 38.9% field goal percentage, holding a 28.7% 3PT percentage, and while posting a 73.4% free throw percentage. Eastern pick up 32.6 rebounds per game (rpg), while allowing just 32.6 rpg (3
rd in LSC). On offense, the Greyhounds contirbute 10.0 assists per game (apg). ENMU's defense pokes away 9.3 steals per game (spg), while posting 1.2 blocks per game (bpg).
Leading the way in points and rebounds per game, Hunter posts 14.9 ppg and 7.9 rpg. Adrian is also a key contributor on both sides of the ball, scoring 13.9 ppg and 5.2 rpg.
Jaz Salon (8.5 ppg) and
Vanessa Oduah (8.3 ppg) help out in the scoring department, while Salon paces the team with 2.6 apg.
SCOUTING THE EAGLES
Oklahoma Christian have had a tough season, sitting at 4-19 overall record and a 3-16 LSC record. The Eagles recently ended a six-game losing streak, having lost 15 of their last 17 games. The Eagles picked up a when against St. Mary's at home, 84-53, while falling to St. Edward's, 83-78.
OC enter as one of the top rebounding teams in the conference, pulling down 38.8 rpg (2
nd in LSC). On offense, Oklahoma Christian is scoring around 64.4 ppg, while giving up 69.6 ppg. The Eagles hold a 38.1% field goal percentage, 26.3% from deep, and 70.4% from the foul line. OC passes out 11.8 apg, while grabbing 7.7 spg. Additionally, the team adds 2.0 bpg to the stats sheet
Brooklyn Bain is the leader for the Eagles with 14.5 ppg and 8.4 rpg, while also leading the team with 1.5 steals per game. Asiyha Smith is an impact player with 11.4 ppg and a team best for assists (2.5 apg) and blocks (0.6 bpg). Kate Bradley leads the team in minutes played this season, shooting 32.5% from behind the arc.
SCOUTING THE LIONS
UAFS come in after a pair of impressive wins over St. Edward's (75-50) and St. Mary's (86-56). The team will face Western New Mexico on Thursday, Feb. 22, before coming to Greyhound Arena. The Lions are in the hunt for the LSC Postseason Tournament currently, holding a 10-15 record and an 8-11 conference standing.
UAFS cause issues on defense, sitting in the top five for steals (9.4 spg) and blocks (2.9 bpg), but give up 67.0 ppg (12
th in LSC). For scoring, the Lions average 65.0 ppg relying on the three ball, shooting 34.0% from three-point range (2
nd in LSC) making 7.7 threes per game (3
rd in LSC). Overall, the Lions average 39.9% from the floor and 71.1% from the charity stripe. UAFS also collect 36.0 rpg and find 12.6 apg.
Baylee Fincher paces the team with 10.6 ppg, while four other Lions average over 7.0 ppg: Hannah Boyett (9.1 ppg), Morgan Browning (9.0 ppg), Riley Hayes (8.0 ppg), and Kayla Brundidge (7.3 ppg). Boyett and Hayes are both in the top-five for three-point field goals made per game, with 1.8 3PT FG each. Hayes leads the team with 45 made three-pointers, connecting on 31.3% of three-point attempts. Brundidge leads the team with 6.7 rpg, while Zyniah Thomas is a role player with 2.7 apg and 1.5 spg.
