Women's Basketball Earn 4th Seed In LSC Tournament

Eastern have a quarterfinal matchup with Angelo State on Thursday, March 6 at Comerica Center (Frisco, Texas)

PORTALES, N.M. – For the first time since 2022, Eastern New Mexico Women's Basketball have qualified for the Lone Star Conference Women's Basketball Tournament, earning the 4th seed. The Greyhounds will play fifth-seed Angelo State in the quarterfinals on Thursday, March 6 at 7:30 p.m. (MST), playing in Frisco, Texas in the Comerica Center.

Going 11-17 just one year ago, ENMU Head Women's Basketball Coach Blake Huber has guided the team to a 20-8 record during the 2024-25 campaign, recording just the fifth 20-win season in program history. Eastern began the season with the best start in program history, going 10-1 after its first 11 games. This season, the Greyhounds are positioned 5th in the latest regional rankings, hoping to return to the national stage for the first time in five years.
 
As the 4th seed, ENMU heads travels to the neutral venue to play fifth-seed Angelo State, with the winner taking on the winner of (1) Texas Woman's and (8) UT Permian Basin on Saturday, March 8, beginning at 11 a.m. (MST). The Greyhounds and Rambelles met twice this season during a pair of close games, with the home team prevailing in each contest.
