FRISCO, Texas – Eastern New Mexico Women's Basketball had three student-athletes receive all-conference recognition, as announced at the 2025 Lone Star Conference Women's Basketball Awards Banquet at Main Event in Frisco, Texas on Wednesday evening.
Ishuana Hunter earned a 2
nd team all-conference honor, while
Nataya Lockett was named to the All-LSC 3
rd team, and
Jayla Smith garnered an honorable mention accolade.
Hunter captures an all-conference accolade for the second consecutive season, earning a spot on the third team in the 2023-24 season. Hunter has led the Greyhounds in scoring all season, scoring 11.0 ppg with 4.8 rpg, shooting 45.0% from the floor. Defensively, Hunter leads the team with 39 steals this season (11
th in LSC). The senior forward has eclipsed 20 points for scoring on four occasions this season and was recognized as the LSC Defensive Player of the Week earlier in the season (12/23/24).
Lockett picks up their first all-conference honor with the Greyhounds, landing on the All-LSC 3
rd team. Lockett sits second in the scoring for the Greyhounds (10.6 ppg), while posting 2.0 apg, and 1.4 spg (39 total steals leads team). The Junior from Omaha, Neb. was recognized as an LSC Offensive Player of the Week (2/10/25), scoring a single-game high 26 points against Western New Mexico earlier this season. Lockett has poured in over 20 points on five occasions this season.
Smith earns an honorable mention in their first season with the Greyhounds, being an important two-way player for Eastern. Smith is the Greyhounds leading rebounder with 5.9 rpg, including 2.5 offensive rebounds per game, while adding 9.1 ppg, and connecting on 40.9% of three-point attempts. The senior from Detroit, Mich. has produced three double-doubles this season, while grabbing over ten rebounds in four separate games.
The Greyhounds play the final quarterfinal game on Thursday evening, March 6, against (5) Angelo State at 8:30 p.m. (CST) at Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas.
