Women's Basketball Add Four Members As Part of 2025 Recruiting Class

The first four signing come from Division I programs, junior colleges, and international clubs

PORTALES, N.M. – Following a successful 2024-25 season, Head ENMU Women's Basketball Coach, Blake Huber, has announced the first members of the 2025-26 recruiting class, including three college transfers and one true freshman.

"We are super excited about these four additions to our Greyhound family," said Huber. "I think these four understand the culture of our program and the expectations for our team next season and what we are trying to accomplish," said Huber. "Each one has a great skill set on the floor, and they've all been around high-level winning. We can't wait to get them on campus and make the best basketball players they can be," said Huber.

CHLOE DALLAS, JUNIOR, FORWARD, 6'3", UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI-KANSAS CITY

Dallas comes to ENMU after spending one season at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, competing in one season with the Roos. A native from Milwaukee, Wis., Dallas played 12 games, making four starts. Dallas averaged just under four points per game, with a season high 14 points in 14 minutes on 5-7 shooting against UT-Dallas. In the following game, Dallas provided 12 points, going 6-7 from the foul line against Sacramento State. Before joining UMKC, Dallas spent one season at Wabash Valley CC, after playing one year at Odessa JC.

"Chloe is a player that has a superior skillset for her size and athleticism. She can score on the block, she can clean up the offensive glass, she can stretch it, shoot it from midrange, and she is a rim running machine with how athletic she is," said Huber. "She is a post that can guard 1-5, trap ball screens, and also be a dynamic rim protector with how long she is, she will be a problem in this league. She gives us a ton of versatility on both the offensive and defensive side of the floor and adds length to our roster," said Huber. "With so many teams running high-low in this league, having front court depth is crucial, and Chloe helps us in that area a great amount. We are so excited for her to be a Greyhound!" said Huber.

AALIYAH SMITH, JUNIOR, GUARD, 5'7", WABASH VALLEY

Smith comes Portales from Wabash Valley, averaging 17.1 ppg, 6.2 apg, and 3.7 spg during the 2023-24 season. Smith led the team to a Division I NJCAA Region 24 Championship, advancing to the national semifinals before falling to Northwest Florida State. The Madison, Wis. native eclipsed 20 points or more on 10 occasions, with a season high 28 points against Vincennes in a 92-85 win (Feb. 14). Smith also recorded five double doubles (points and assists), with a season high 13 assists during a 125-91 victory over Vincennes (Jan. 27).

"Aaliyah is a dynamic guard that can score the ball pretty much anywhere on the floor. She can play at the rim with her physicality, she can score off ball screens, in the midrange, and she has deep range from 3," said Huber. "She is a tough matchup and someone that we are pumped to have in our program. She played on a Top 5 team in junior college that made the final four two years ago at Wabash Valley, and she was an NJCAA 2nd team All American, her talent is through the roof," said Huber. "We are excited to get her and Chloe reunited and in Portales to be Greyhounds!"

MEKHILA BROWN, JUNIOR, GUARD/FORWARD, 5'11", CHIPOLA COLLEGE

Brown joins the Greyhounds from Chipola College, helping the Lady Indians to 31-4 record for the 2024-25 season. Garnering a #1 ranking for parts of the season, Brown helped Chipola win the FSSAA DI Women's Basketball Championship and reach the quarterfinals of the NJCAA DI Women's Basketball Championship. Originally from British Columbia, Canada, Brown averaged 7.9 ppg and 4.5 rpg, shooting 45.1% from the floor in 33 games with 20 starts. Brown collected two double doubles (points and rebounds) during the season, including a career game of 25 points and 10 rebounds during a 84-75 win over South Georgia Technical College (Dec. 31).

"Mekhila is a dynamic athlete and is someone that we are thrilled to have in our program. She can guard 1-4 with her length and athleticism and gives us a ton of versatility," said Huber. "Offensively, she is a very difficult matchup because on bigger players she can blow by you with her quick first step and on smaller players she can take you to the post and bully you. In the open floor, she is extremely hard to keep in front because of how explosive she is," said Huber. "We have had a lot of success in Portales recruiting Coach Rolls (Mitch Rolls) players and I think Mekhila will add on to that success! She started on the number one team in the country this year so all she knows is winning. We can't wait to get her here in Portales," said Huber.

HANNAH JENSEN, FRESHMAN, GUARD, 5'7", MACKAY, AUSTRALIA

Recently playing with the Mackay Metorettes in Australia, Hannah joins the program after playing with the semi-professional club 12 times. Jensen played 24 games with the club, competing with the team since 2023. The Mackay Metorettes is a member of NBL1, competing in the north region. The north region consists of 12 teams, with 13 rounds of games, followed by an eight-team double elimination tournament.

"Hannah is going to bring a wealth of experience as a true freshman. Hannah has played high level basketball for a long time and has a dynamic skillset," said Huber. "Hannah is a 3-level scorer offensively and makes everyone around her better. Hannah also wants to pick up 94 feet and really get into people defensively and will fit in perfectly to what we are trying to do," said Huber. "Hannah has also been trained by one of my best coaching friends Rob Grieve so I know she will be trained at an extremely high level. We cannot wait for Hannah to get here," said Huber.

ENMU cemented the 2024-25 season with the programs first ever win in the NCAA Tournament, finishing with a 21-11 record, and a 15-7 conference record.
