Greyhound football to host six games during 2025 campaign

Six home contests headlines ENMU football season, athletics department announces promotions

PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico football will host six home games during the 2025 season.

"Looking forward to another great season at Steve Loy Family Foundation Stadium," said head football coach Kelley Lee. "Our program will have several great promotions for fans and encourage everyone to support our team by securing their season tickets."

The 2025 campaign begins in Portales as in-state foe New Mexico Highlands visits the Greyhounds on Aug. 28.

ENMU heads to Colorado Mesa the following week (Sept. 6) for their only road nonconference contest of the season.

Family Night and Military Appreciation Night will be on Sept. 13 as the Hounds will welcome reigning Lone Star Conference champions Angelo State. During the game, ENMU will also recognize faculty and staff appreciation.

The program will travel two consecutive weeks with games versus Midwestern State (Sept. 20) and Central Washington (Oct. 4).

ENMU is back home for the Hall of Honors game against Western Oregon on October 11. The weekend long celebration will begin with the Hall of Honors banquet on Friday, October 10 with the inductees being recognized at a dinner hosted inside the University Ballroom. This year, Eastern New Mexico Athletics is honoring Anthony Pertile (football), Maegan Rhoten Paulson (softball), Jack West (football), Mercy Rotich (cross country/track and field), Dennis Williams (cross country/track and field), Andrea Lott (volleyball), and Dr. Steven Gamble (support).

At the Hall of Honors game (Oct. 11), Eastern New Mexico Athletics will debut the first of five bobbleheads to be given as part of an effort to recognize the five winningest football coaches in ENMU history. The department will be giving away a Don Carthel bobble head. Dairy Farmers of America is sponsoring this promotion.

The annual Wagon Wheel game will take place in Canyon, Texas on October 18. The series record with the trophy up for grabs is 18-18, while ENMU leads the overall series 23-20.

ENMU will then host two consecutive contests. Homecoming will be highlighted with a visit from Western New Mexico for the Chile Bowl on October 25. The University will hold festivities throughout the week in recognition of Homecoming.

The Hounds will host Sul Ross State on November 1. The game will feature a Greyhound cap giveaway sponsored by HOMESPOT. The first 1000 fans at the game will receive a hat.

The final road game takes Eastern to Odessa, Texas to face UT Permian Basin Nov. 8.

Eastern New Mexico closes out the 2025 regular season with a home game against Texas A&M-Kingsville on Nov. 15. The senior day game will kickoff a great day on the High Plains as JP Stone Community Bank will sponsor a student-only Greyhound scarf giveaway. The first 750 students in attendance will be given a scarf. Later in the day, Eastern New Mexico men's basketball will host the LSC/RMAC Challenge at Steve Loy Family Foundation Arena.

Season tickets will go on sale soon for Greyhound football. Those who purchase season tickets will be guaranteed a Don Carthel bobble head as part of the Oct. 11 Hall of Honors giveaway.
