MCKINNEY, Texas – The Lone Star Conference announced the 2025 preseason football poll today at media day hosted at the McKinney ISD Stadium.
Eastern New Mexico football was chosen eighth in the poll as voted on by sports information directors, coaches, and media members.
"Looking forward to the 2025 season," said head coach Kelley Lee. "LSC media day is always a great time to reconnect with the coaches and student-athletes."
The favorite to win the league is Angelo State. The 2024 champions led the preseason poll with 292 points and 23 first place votes. They are led by preseason offensive player of the year Braeden Fuller who was named a first team all-region performer in 2024.

ENMU's
Jarius Stewart and
Matthew Quartieri were named conference players to watch for the upcoming season.
Stewart appeared in eight games for the Hounds and finished fifth on the tea with 341 rushing yards. He helped Eastern win the Chile Bowl over Western New Mexico with a nine carry, 79-yard performance. He also earned a rushing touchdown in the victory.
Quartieri started all 11 games for Eastern a year ago. He finished sixth in the LSC with 103 tackles and was one of 26 DII student-athletes with 100+ tackles. He finished with a tackle for loss in nine different contests and had six games with double digit tackles.
At media day, ENMU was represented by
Christian Griego and
Matthew Quartieri. Griego is a senior lineman for the Hounds. Quartieri is a junior linebacker for the program.
The 2025 Greyhound football season begins August 28 with a home game against New Mexico Highlands. In total, ENMU will host six contests at Steve Loy Family Foundation Stadium.
