RICHARDSON, Texas – Chloe Dallas was named the Lone Star Conference defensive player of the week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
 
"I just want to thank my coaches for preparing not only me but the whole team" Dallas commented after hearing the news. "Really, all Coach Huber stresses to us is defense, defense, defense, so I think just having that mindset and the preparation helps us as a team."
 
The senior forward came off the bench in both games this past weekend for the Hounds to grab eight defensive rebounds, three steals, and two blocks. Dallas scored 14 points and grabbed six rebounds against RV St. Mary's before going a perfect 6-of-6 from the field with 17 points and five rebounds in 11 minutes of action against St. Edward's.
 
"Chloe was instrumental in our two victories this week – it was great to have her back in the rotation" stated head coach Blake Huber. "Her length and athleticism on top of her skill set is rare for her size. She is a huge piece to our program and will play an instrumental part in our run for Lone Star."
 
The Greyhounds have now won five straight games and have won 10 over its last 11 contests.
 
Eastern will be on the road this weekend against Midwestern State on Thursday and Lubbock Christian on Saturday.
