PORTALES, N.M. - The Eastern New Mexico University women's basketball team travels to Wichita Falls, Texas, to face Midwestern State University on Thursday, Jan. 15. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m. CT at the D.L. Ligon Coliseum.

Midwestern State holds a 31-26 lead in the overall series, but the Greyhounds enter the contest as one of the hottest teams in the Lone Star Conference. Eastern has won five straight games and 10 of its last 11 outings, including a 65-58 victory over RV St. Mary's and an 88-60 win over St. Edward's this past weekend in Portales.

The Greyhounds' recent success was highlighted Monday afternoon when the league office named senior forward
Chloe Dallas the LSC defensive player of the week. Dallas was instrumental in both wins last weekend, coming off the bench to record eight defensive rebounds, three steals, and two blocks. Offensively, she scored 14 points against St. Mary's before going a perfect 6-of-6 from the field for 17 points in just 11 minutes against St. Edward's.

Dallas currently leads the Greyhounds with 12.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game while shooting an efficient .627 from the floor. Junior
Julieta Ceja is averaging 11.0 points and 6.2 rebounds per game while leading the defensive perimeter with 17 steals and shooting .485 from three-point range.
Nataya Lockett continues to provide a spark with 10.6 points per game with 27 assists and 26 steals.

As a team, ENMU leads the LSC and ranks second in the nation in bench points per game (39.1). The Greyhounds average 74.9 points per game while holding opponents to 59.0. Defensively, ENMU ranks 21st nationally with 13.1 steals per game. The Hounds are shooting .417 from the field and .335 from beyond the arc, while maintaining a +3.4 rebounding margin over its opponents.

Midwestern State (4-8, 1-5 LSC) enters Thursday's matchup looking to snap a three-game losing streak. The Mustangs are coming off a 73-62 loss to nationally ranked Lubbock Christian last Thursday.

The Mustangs are led by Kerbie Cash, who averages 14.7 points and 7.3 rebounds per game while recording 23 steals. Macie Upshaw contributes 5.5 points and 7.2 rebounds per contest and leads the team with 13 blocks. The Mustangs also feature a perimeter threat shooting .378 from three-point range with 24 steals on the season.

Midwestern State averages 64.0 points per game and shoots .331 from the field. While they struggle with a .240 three-point percentage, the Mustangs are proficient at the free-throw line, shooting 70 percent.
