PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico Athletics is hosting a "Meet the Greyhound Football Staff and New Players" event on Thursday, February 19 at Enchantment Vineyards in Portales. It's a chance for community members to gather in a relaxed environment to learn more about the ENMU football coaching staff and hear about recent transfers and recruits that have signed to attend ENMU for the fall of 2026. T-shirts will be given to the first 100 registrants for the event.
 
"It's time to come together as Greyhounds and support our ENMU football student-athletes and coaches," said director of athletics Kevin Fite. "This event, in collaboration with Enchantment Vineyards, will be a night you do not want to miss out on. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear our plans for the upcoming football season and meet the people that will carry Greyhound Football into a new era of success!"

Beginning at 6 p.m., Fite will introduce head football coach Art Briles and speak about the direction of Greyhound football and ways fans can stay involved leading up to the 2026 campaign. From there, Briles will speak about his mission/vision for the program. The full coaching staff will be in attendance and introduced by Coach Briles.
 
One of major highlights of the night will be the introduction of mid-year transfers and high school signees announced on signing day on Feb. 4. Briles will walk through player highlights and discuss the roster additions.
 
Afterwards, coaches and players will mix and mingle with attendees. It is just one of many ways that ENMU Athletics is getting out into the community and staying engaged with loyal supporters and new fans.



Eastern New Mexico Athletics staff will also be in attendance to talk about season tickets and other future events.
