Hays, Kan. – Eastern New Mexico University volleyball closes out the final day of the 2026 Tiger Classic with a loss against Fort Hays State.

"Fort Hays is a solid team and I felt like we pushed them at moments. However, we need to figure out how to maintain our level of play when the other team is putting pressure on us," stated head coach Karli Bustos. "We had some great moments and we also had some rough moments, but they are demanding more out of one another which is exactly what we need."

FHSU 3, ENMU 1 (22-25, 8-25, 25-22, 15-25)

Aaliyah Butler took the lead for the Greyhounds this morning with 11 kills.
Sydney Pipkin led the team with 18 assists, nine kills, and 12 digs.
Amya Speller recorded three blocks, Pipkin recorded two, and Sophia Valdez recorded one and nine kills.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

This contest ties the record between the Hounds and the Tigers at 4-4.
Sydney Pipkin posted a .368 with nine kills and two errors.

Eastern will be back in action on Friday, Sept. 4 at 9 a.m. at the Cowgirls Classic in Las Vegas, N.M. and will be facing Northwestern Oklahoma State.
