PORTALES, N.M. — With the season winding down, the Eastern New Mexico University women's soccer team has a big weekend ahead of it.
Ranked seventh in the latest NSCAA Regional poll, the Zias will visit Angelo State (4th in the region) and Midwestern State (9th in the region).
The games are especially big for Eastern, considering the tight race for the Lone Star Conference playoffs. Eastern and Texas A&M-Commerce are tied for first place and only six points ahead of sixth-place West Texas A&M. The Zias have already surpassed last year's totals for wins, conference victories and goals, but remain in pursuit of the program's third trip to the conference tournament.

Fabienne Wilson (Sr., GK, Alamogordo, N.M., Alamogordo HS/ Garden City CC) has a 2-1 record with a 1.29 goals against average on the road, this season.
In the Numbers The Zias seven wins are the most since winning nine in 2009 and three away from the record of 10, set during the
2005 season.
Wilson is fourth ENMU history in games played by a goalkeeper (16), minutes by a goalkeeper (1,479), games started in net (16), third in goals against average (1.28) and tied for fourth in wins (5). With back-to-back shutouts, Wilson now has five for her career and ranks fourth.
Perez is ninth in career points (22), while Jones is tenth (20) and Prince has vaulted to seventh (24). Jones and Prince are tied for fifth in goals (10), while Perez is tied for eighth (9).
Carolyn Armijo (Jr., MF, Mesilla Park, N.M., Las Cruces HS) is tied for sixth on the career assist list (7) and two away from moving up.
Last season, the Zias posted a 4-8-5 record with a 1-5-4 mark in Lone Star Conference play. The team played in a NCAA Division II record 10 overtime contests and earned five ties. Eight of those games went into a second overtime session. Eastern had at least one overtime game against every LSC opponent and two double overtime games against Angelo State.

Last season, ASU finished 11-5-2 and tied MSU for first in the standings. The Rambelles dropped a first-round game to WT in the LSC Tournament.

Last season, MSU posted a 13-5-3 record and was tied for first in the LSC with a 7-2-1 mark. The Mustangs defeated West Texas A&M 4-2 on penalty kicks in the LSC tournament, after the teams tied at 2-all. MSU dropped its NCAA tournament opener in overtime at Metro State.
Last Time in the Series Eastern is 3-10-2 against Midwestern State, and the Mustangs
earned a 3-1 decision over the Zias, earlier in the season. Last season, Eastern played to a
double-overtime 1-1 tie at Midwestern State.
The Zias are 5-9-1 against Angelo State
picked up a 2-0 win over the Rambelles earlier in the season, which handed ASU its first loss of the season.
