DALLAS, TEXAS —
Paul Tapia wielded a big bat for the Eastern New Mexico University baseball team (3-1) on Saturday at the Dallas Christian Tournament. He had a pinch-hit homer as the Hounds picked up a 13-4 win over Dallas Christian. Later in the day, the junior cracked a RBI-double in a 10-7 win over Mid-America Christian at Crusader Field.

- A two-out base hit in the bottom of the first staked the Evangels to a 1-0 lead

- Mid-America Christian tacked on a sixth run in the third

- Eastern capitalized on a wild pitch and error t plate three runs in the fifth for a 7-6 lead
- Tapia's double in the sixth allowed ENMU to score an insurance run
- Stubbs had a RBI triple in the Hounds' two-run seventh as ENMU closed out the game
- Jonathan Joy scattered three hits over five innings of relief with four strikeouts to earn the win
- Enrique Perez tossed an inning to pick up the save
- Stubbs batted three-for-three, walked and scored a run

- Tapia cracked his first homer of the season
- Cesar Capellan went four innings for ENMU and allowed just two runs
