RICHARDSON, Texas - Eastern New Mexico junior Eiji Sawamura was selected to the All-Lone Star Conference Third-Team as announced by the league office on Wednesday evening.
 
Sawamura, a native of Kiyose, Japan, led the Greyhounds at the plate throughout the 2026 season with a .359 batting average that ranked 24th in the LSC. The outfielder paced ENMU with 70 hits, the seventh-most in the LSC, while driving in 26 runs and posting a .462 slugging percentage.
 
Sawamura's consistency at the plate was evident in his team-high .452 on-base percentage, which ranked 33rd in the conference. He also showcased his speed on the basepaths, swiping 17 stolen bases to rank 16th in the LSC. The junior added 10 doubles to his impressive offensive stat line.
 
ENMU finished the season with a 17-33 overall and conference record.
