ENMU boasts several personal records at XC Championships

Greyhounds run well-paced event at Lone Star Conference Championship meet

WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Sophomore Marta Pascoa won all-conference honors at the 2022 Lone Star Conference Championships hosted by Midwestern State on a brisk Saturday morning.

The women's team took 13th among 15 schools in the annual meet. Pascoa ran her best time as a Greyhound, earning a 13th place finish (22:47.0).

Several season personal records were hit by the Hounds Saturday morning as Kaylyn De La Rosa finished the 6k race in 25:38.6. Lethabo Seema did not come far behind her teammate as she hit the finish line in 25:51.5.

Valeria Martinez (26:09), Lauren Griego (26:33), and Elise Toya (27:39) also held great showings for the team.

"I am proud of our team for hitting PR's," said head coach Joshua Harden. "The group set its eyes to get better every race and they did so today."

On the men's side, Devis Cheruiyot ran the 8k course in 27:52.9. His teammates Ethan Woodrome (30:05.1) and Luis Holguin (30:39.4 also competed for ENMU.

With the season wrapping up, Eastern New Mexico cross country looks to begin the off season and prepare for the following year.
