PORTALES, N.M – Eastern New Mexico Volleyball celebrated their 2022 season at its end of the year banquet where seven players were recognized with team awards following a successful season.
Adriana Puni was named Most Valuable Greyhound of the Year. The middle blocker contributed on both sides of the ball finishing with 2.45 points per set (p/s) and 267.0 points (both 3rd on the team). Puni provided 200 kills (1.83 kills per set) and 20 service aces over the season. Defensively, Puni supplied 83.0 blocks on the season (0.76 blocks per set) and 296 digs (2.72 digs per set) both second on the team.
Gracelyn Stubbs received Offensive Player of the Year after leading the team in points (346 points) providing 261 kills (2.39 k/s), hitting percentage (.336), 30 service aces, and a team best 90.0 blocks during the season.
Getsemani Carrasco picked up Defensive Player of the Year honors after standout first season with ENMU. The libero led the Greyhounds in digs with 467 (4.32 d/s), along with a .948 reception percentage playing in every match for the Greyhounds.
Additional awards included Most Improved Greyhound of the Year, awarded to
Rylee Mapes.
Hannah Page collected the Zia Spirit award and the Blue Collar award, which is given to the teams hardest worker. Five Greyhounds received the "Iron Lady", which is given out for perfect attendance for practices, team meetings, and team activities:

Greyhound volleyball also acknowledged its five graduating seniors, Puni, Stubbs,
Jordan O'Connor-Dempsey,
Qitana Sapiga, and
Daejia Rodriguez.
