PORTALES, NM - The Eastern New Mexico baseball team is set to host West Texas A&M University this weekend. The Greyhounds and Buffaloes will meet four times over the span of three days. The first contest will start at 4 p.m. (MT) on Friday, February 11. Saturday, Feb. 12 will see a doubleheader starting at 2 p.m. before the series wraps up on Sunday, Feb. 13 at 1 p.m.Â
LAST TIME OUTÂ
• Eastern New Mexico enters the weekend with a 1-3 mark overall and in conference play.
• The Hounds defeated St. Edward's, 4-3, on Feb. 5 but fell in the other three contests of the series.

Spencer Roach currently leads the Hounds offensively (.500 avg., five hits, two doubles).
Sammy Williamson has a .333 batting avg. to go with five hits, two doubles, and an RBI.
Damian Acosta picked up his first win of the season last weekend, striking out nine batters in the process.
SCOUTING THE BUFFALOESÂ
•West Texas A&M enters the weekend with a 2-0 overall record and 0-0 record in Lone Star Conference play.
•WT defeated Colorado State-Pueblo, 10-3, on Feb. 5 before downing New Mexico Highlands, 17-2, on Feb. 6.
•Offensively, the Buffs are led by Paul Wittmann (.667 avg., four hits, one double, one RBI), Kennedy Badgett (.571 avg., four hits, two doubles, four RBI), Ryan Johnson (.500 avg., four hits, one RBI), and Eric Ortiz (.500 avg., three hits, two doubles, four RBI).
•On the mound, Nick Marshall and A.G. Ayala both earned a win last weekend.
SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDSÂ
•The Hounds saw nine student-athletes register hits throughout the first series of the season. Roach and Williamson lead the way with five hits each. Roach, Williamson,
Nyles Duren,
Jack Thompson, and
Camden Matthews have all registered doubles.
•On the hill, 11 Greyhounds have seen action. Acosta has the lone win of the season which came on a complete game.
Dalton Thatcher,
Ruger Bravo, and
Noah De La Riva were credited with last weekend's losses.
