PORTALES, N.M. – With just one week until the beginning of the Eastern New Mexico Football season, ENMU Athletics will be hosting a pregame party prior to the start of the Hounds game at New Mexico Highlands, on Thursday, Sept. 1, at JC's New York Pizza Department (209 Plaza St., Las Vegas, N.M. 87701) from 4-6 p.m. 

"This is an amazing opportunity for Greyhound fans to come together before our first football game," said Director of Athletics Dr. Paul Weir. "We are so excited not only to renew this rivalry, but to provide our supporters a chance to come visit us on the road and cheer our team to victory".

The event is free with complimentary food and beverages. Come meet Dr. Weir, Head Football Coach Tye Hiatt, and enjoy free giveaways including: a signed ENMU Football jersey, a signed ENMU Football helmet, and a chance to win tickets to ENMU Football home games.

Admission into the game between Eastern and New Mexico Highlands is free, with kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m. at Sanchez Family Stadium. Eastern will play the Cowboys for the first time since 2015, when the Hounds came out on top 40-10.
