PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico Women's Soccer are in the thick of conference play, with a pair of Lone Star Conference contests this week. The Greyhounds welcome high flying Texas Woman's on Wednesday, Oct. 4, to Greyhound Stadium with kickoff at 5 p.m. Then, Eastern travel to Texas to face Angelo State on Saturday, Oct. 7, for an afternoon match beginning at 12 p.m. (MST).

SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
- Eastern hope to bounce back after a pair of losses in their last week of play. Eastern were beaten 5-0 by Midwestern State and fell 1-0 to St. Edward's. Heading into Wednesday night's game, the Greyhounds are 1-5-4 overall, with a 0-3-1 LSC record.
- The Greyhounds have scored seven times this season, averaging 7.3 shots per game. Defensively, Eastern have allowed 19 goals this season in 10 games, while opposing teams finding 14.5 shots per game.
- ENMU's offense is led by Nina Ballesteros, Sydney Saxon, and Emma Hafenbrak with two goals each. Haley Huff paces the group with two assists, while being the team leader in shots on goal (seven this season). In goal, Samantha Jeffries averages 4.0 saves per game (4th best in the LSC).
SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
- Texas Woman's have been outstanding this season, holding an 8-1-1 record and a 3-1-1 conference standing. The Pioneers were perfect last week, winning 1-0 against Oklahoma Christian and 2-0 against Texas A&M International.
- The Pioneer's are one of the top defensive teams in the nation, conceding just twice this season with 0.200 goals against average, 0.931 save percentage, and seven shutouts are all in the top-five in the nation. In terms of scoring, TWU have 17 goals this season posting 15.8 shots per game.
- Amanda Farris leads the Texas Woman's team in net, allowing just two goals while making 25 saves with an 8-1-1 record. Farris' seven shutouts are tied for the most in Division II. Up front, Alyssa Striker's four goals and two assists lead the team in both. Giselle Gutierrez is also an important contributor with three goals from the bench this season.
SCOUTING THE RAMBELLES
- The Rambelles had a rough start to the season, riding out a five-game losing skid before their current three-game unbeaten run. ASU has a 3-5-2 standing so far this season, along with a 2-1-1 conference record.
- Angelo State have scored 12 goals this season, while allowing 14 scores this campaign. ASU are finding 13.0 shots per game, while producing eight assists this season.
- After the opening ten games, Angelo State has five different student-athletes with two goals, with Abby James adding a team best three assists to a pair of goals. Amber Lockwood has secured themselves as the top goalkeeper for ASU, starting all ten games with a 70% save percentage.
