RICHARDSON, Texas – The Lone Star Conference has recognized senior wing Jahcoree Ealy as the league's offensive player of the week. The Conway, Arkansas native averaged 23.5 points per game over two victories for ENMU.

"I want to give the credit to my teammates and thank God," said Ealy when he found out the news. "My goal is to help our team win games."

Ealy helped the team earn back-to-back triple digit wins for the first time since the 1995-96 season when ENMU beat National Christian, Wiley College, and LeTourneau College with 100-plus nights offensively.

The team's leading scorer began the week with a 16 point and four rebound night helping Eastern New Mexico secure a 103-70 result over St. Edward's. The 2022 second team all-LSC honoree followed up the performance with a career-best 31 points while adding five rebounds and four assists.

Over the week, he went 18-for-25 from the floor and sunk ten free throws. The senior has been effective during the 2023-24 campaign as he has hit double digit scoring marks over the first six games.

"Jahcoree is scoring 21 points per game so far this season, but he is achieving that while still playing very unselfish. His assist to turnover ratio has dramatically improved and he is being very efficient as he is shooting 60% from the field," said head coach Brent Owen on Ealy. "We receive individual awards when the team does well and this week is no exception. I'm happy for both Jahcoree and our team."

Ealy is tied for the league lead in points per game (21.0 ppg) and fourth in field goal percentage (.595).

The Greyhounds turn their attention to Thursday night as the battle UT Tyler. Tip is slated for 6 p.m. MT.
