Men’s basketball introduces Jaxon Koroll to recruiting class

6-11 postman joins ENMU with major prep experience for nationally recognized programs

PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico is adding a 6-11 forward to the roster. Canada native, Jaxon Koroll comes to Portales after one season with Edge Prep in Calgary Alberta.

"Jaxon brings immediate size and strength to our program as a freshman," said head coach Brent Owen on the newest addition. "He's got toughness around the rim that our fans will enjoy. His ability to score and rebound will make an immediate impact. Jaxon has a reputation as a hard worker and we are excited to help him reach his potential here at ENMU."

During the 2022-23 season, he helped the team go 15-0 in CJBL play, including a dunk to advance the team to the championship game.

Another highlight to the season came when the program beat Balboa Prep by one point after Koroll hit a pair of free throws with 3.1 seconds remaining in the contest.

For two seasons, he played prep basketball for Long Island Lutheran. The team went 23-8 over his two seasons in the Empire State. In 2022, he was one of 69 nominees for the east squad at the McDonald's All American game. Although he did not make the final roster, he earned the recognition as a nominee.
