Lone Star Conference releases preseason football poll

Greyhounds learn preseason predictions at LSC media day

MCKINNEY, Texas – The 2023 Lone Star Conference preseason football poll was released this afternoon.

Eastern New Mexico is predicted to finish eighth in league play as voted by conference coaches, SID's, and media representatives.
 
Angelo State is coming off an undefeated season in LSC action and earned the honor as the preseason favorite with 25 of 27 first place votes.
 
ENMU will begin the 2023 season with a home contest against New Mexico Highlands August 31. Kickoff will begin at 6 p.m. at Greyhound Stadium.

The conference also announced the 2023 preseason players of the year.
 
Central Washington running back Tre'jon Henderson and Texas A&M-Kingsville senior defensive back Amos Coleman were selected as the 2023 Lone Star Conference Football Preseason Players of the Year, it was announced on Thursday (July 27) at LSC Football Media Day at McKinney ISD Stadium's Community Event Center in McKinney, Texas.
 
Henderson received Preseason Offensive Player of the Year honors, while Coleman claimed Preseason Defensive Player of the Year recognition.
