Cross country slated to run six meets in 2023

Eastern New Mexico men’s and women’s cross country release 2023 schedule

PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico University will run six meets during the 2023 season. Two of those will take place on the campus of ENMU.

The year gets off to a quick start with the Greyhounds traveling south to the Lori Fitzgerald Open hosted by New Mexico State University September 2.

Just five days later, September 7, the program will travel to fellow Lone Star Conference foe Midwestern State for the Mustang Derby.

ENMU will compete in Lubbock, Texas at the Texas Tech Meet September 15.

A two-week break will come in the middle of the season as the team prepares for the Highlands Cross Country Jam September 29 hosted by New Mexico Highlands.

For a second-straight season, Eastern will host a regular season meet. The event is scheduled for October 7 in Portales.

The Hounds will then host the 2023 Lone Star Conference Cross Country Championships October 21. The town of Portales will welcome 14 men's programs and 15 women's programs from conference institutions.

The 2023 NCAA South Central Regionals will take place November 4 in Lubbock, Texas. Qualifiers from the regional will compete at the NCAA DII national championships in Joplin, Missouri November 18.
