PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico Baseball takes it final road trip of February, traveling to Austin, Texas to face St. Edward's University this weekend. The series begins with a single nine-inning game on Friday, Feb. 23, with the first pitch set for 12 p.m. (MST). The next day the teams have a doubleheader, on Saturday, Feb. 24, with the games beginning at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. The series ends on Sunday, Feb. 25, beginning at 12 p.m. (MST).

SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDSÂ
Losing three games in the row, the Greyhounds look to bounce back as they face St. Edward's. The Hounds now stand at 5-7 on the season, with the same conference record. In their last series, ENMU came away with the series opener against Texas A&M-Kingsville, 13-1, but they dropped the next three games of the series: 7-6, 16-6 (8 Inn.), and 14-8. In the Hounds win,
Gavin Perry tossed a gem of a game on the mound, with 6.0 innings and one unearned run from three hits with four strikeouts.
Luciano Terilli finished 3-3 at the plate scoring twice, while
Landon Pyles brought home four runs.
ENMU hitters have a .279 batting average, scoring 73 runs with 102 hits and 60 RBIs. Easter's hitters have drawn 46 walks, with 33 extra base hits this season. On the rubber, Eastern New Mexico's ERA sits 7.26 following the opening three series. Allowing 111 hits and 86 runs. The Greyhounds pitchers have drawn 74 strikeouts, while holding opponents to a .296 batting average.
Willie Ponce and
Daniel Pruitt lead the Greyhounds for hits with 15 each, while Pruitt has the superior batting average (.395) and a team best 12 RBIs. Ponce has 16 runs scored this season to lead the team, with
Beau Preston (.342) and Terilli (.333) each hitting over .300.
Ruger Bravo and Perry have settled in after showing a handful of promising starts this season. Bravo holds a team low 2.57 ERA in three starts in 14.0 innings. Perry provides a 1-2 record with a 4.30 ERA, while both Bravo and Perry have 13 strikeouts each.
SCOUTING THE HILLTOPPERS
St. Edward's (4-6, 4-4 LSC) enters the game following a series with West Texas A&M. In that series, the Hilltoppers escaped with one road win during the four-game series. After losing the first two games, 5-3 and 2-1, St. Edward's struck in game three for a 10-0 victory. In the series finale, West Texas A&M grabbed a 7-5 win to capture the series.
The Hilltoppers have a .253 batting average to start the season, picking up 75 hits with 54 RBIs, scoring 61 runs. St. Edward's have drawn 67 walks, while scattering 21 extra base hits. The SEU pitching sports a 4.18 ERA during its opening two conference series and one non-conference doubleheader. The team has produced 65 strikeouts, while giving up 82 hits and 48 runs.
Trevor Sebek tops the Hilltoppers hitters with a .303 batting average, leading the team with 10 hits and 10 runs scored. Lance Little also has 10 hits in seven games this season, as Davis Drewek leads the team with 11 RBIs. Jakub Rayfield comes in as the top SEU pitcher and the regaining LSC Pitcher of the Week, with a 0.75 ERA one complete game and a 1-0 record in a pair of starts.
