PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico Baseball play their final home series of the season, welcoming St. Mary's for a four-game series. The series starts with a doubleheader Friday, Apr. 19, with the first pitch set for 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. The next day the teams will have a single nine-inning game, on Saturday, Apr. 20, with the games beginning at 3 p.m. The series ends on Sunday, Apr. 21, beginning at 1 p.m. The program will be hosting its senior day on Sunday, prior to first pitch (around 12:30 p.m.).

SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDSÂ
Eastern New Mexico (18-24, LSC 16-24) return home after its first series victory of the season, besting Oklahoma Christian three times in a four-game series. During the road series, the Greyhounds scored 65 runs, claiming wins of 16-12, 22-6, and 13-5, while falling 14-13 in the lone loss. During the series opener,
Willie Ponce provided seven RBIs, hitting two home runs, as part of a comeback victory. Several Greyhounds recorded multiple hits and RBIs during the 22-6 win, while
Jonathan Baileys led the team with a pair of home runs and five RBIs in ENMU's 13-5 win.
The Greyhound hitters have a .299 batting average, posting 310 runs with 397 hits and 271 RBIs. Eastern's hitters have drawn 190 walks, with 121 extra base hits this season. On the mound, Eastern New Mexico's ERA sits at 7.68 entering the series with the Rattlers. ENMU's pitchers have forced 283 strikeouts, while holding opponents to a .309 batting average.

Luciano Terilli and Ponce each have a .355 batting average, each posting 54 hits this season. Additionally, Ponce leads the team with 45 RBIs and 51 runs scored.
Tucker Gideon has breached the 50 hits mark, while
Daniel Pruitt paces the team with 14 doubles this season.
Demetrio Archuleta has also been a key part of the lineup, sporting 48 hits and 39 runs scored.
Gavin Perry has a season best 6-4 record, holding a 5.25Â ERA with a team best 50 strikeouts.Â

Julian Lopez have solidified two spots in the starting rotation, with a several other Greyhounds taking the fourth spot.
Ruger Bravo has become the go to relief pitcher for ENMU, holding a 3.44 ERA going 1-0 with a save in their last two relief appearances.
SCOUTING THE RATTLERS
St. Mary's (18-24, LSC 16-24) have an identical record to the Greyhounds, with the same record against a handful of other LSC opponents. Recently, the Rattlers took a series split with #4 West Texas A&M, winning the opening two games of the series 4-3 and 7-2. The Buffs claimed the final two games of the series, winning 8-3 and 19-1.
The Rattlers have a .300 batting average so far this season, picking up 393 hits with 259 RBIs, scoring 259 runs. Additionally, St.MU has gathered 177 walks with 127 extra base hits. The St. Mary's pitching staff sports an 8.94 ERA this season. The team has produced 230 strikeouts, while giving up 447 hits and 369 runs, producing seven saves this season.
Devin Goins is the batting average leader for the Rattlers, holding a .365 batting average, while Garrett Brooks has a team best 49 hits, 40 runs scored, and 44 RBIs with a .302 batting average. RJ Galvan leads the team with a .568 slugging percentage with 12 doubles, while Easton Parrish contributes 46 hits. On the hill, Javier De Alejandro started each of their 10 appearances, holding a 7.09 ERA (best among starting pitchers). Kaleb Gauna leads the team with 39.2 innings pitched, making 10 starts, while Andrew Girod is the top relief arm, providing four saves in nine outings with a 2.16 ERA.
