PORTALES, N.M. - The Eastern New Mexico University women's soccer team will celebrate Senior Day on Saturday, November 1, as they host the Midwestern State Mustangs in Lone Star Conference action. The match is set to kick off at 11 a.m. at the Steve Loy Family Foundation Stadium.
The Greyhounds (0-15, 0-12 LSC) are looking to break through for their first win of the season against a formidable Mustangs squad that enters the contest with an 8-1-6 overall record and an 8-0-4 mark in conference play.
Junior forward
Louise Godden continues to be the offensive bright spot for ENMU this season. Godden netted her team-leading third goal of the campaign in the Hounds 1-5 loss at St. Mary's on Oct. 26 in San Antonio. The junior has accounted for three of the team's four goals this season and leads the squad with six total points.
Godden has been efficient with her opportunities, recording 17 shots with five on goal for a .353 shot-on-goal percentage. Her offensive production has been crucial for an ENMU attack that has faced challenges throughout the season.
In goal,
Rosie Willmott Joyce has shouldered most of the workload for Eastern, appearing in 12 matches and logging 918 minutes. Joyce has made 79 saves with a .632 save percentage while facing consistent pressure from opposing attacks.
Kiley Patalan has appeared in three matches, recording six saves in 159 minutes of action.
The Greyhounds have been outshot 347-72 by opponents this season, with a 172-36 disadvantage in shots on goal. ENMU has earned 23 corner kicks compared to 103 for their opponents, highlighting the territorial challenges they've faced throughout the campaign.
Saturday's match carries special significance as Eastern New Mexico celebrates its senior class in the final home match of their collegiate careers. The Senior Day festivities will honor the contributions these student-athletes have made to the program during their time in Portales.

Midwestern State presents a significant challenge for the Greyhounds. The Mustangs' only loss this season came on September 9 at Ouachita Baptist, and they're currently riding a 13-match unbeaten streak after recently defeating UT Permian Basin 2-1 in Wichita Falls.
The Mustangs' attack has been potent, scoring 32 goals while conceding just 16 through 15 matches. Marlene Myrvold and Lillia Besedin have been the offensive catalysts, each recording six goals on the season. Myrvold leads the team with 14 total points, while Besedin has been dangerous with 25 shots.
Goalkeeper Tanner Sorenson has been solid for Midwestern State, posting a 5-0-4 record with three shutouts. Sorenson has allowed just nine goals in 789 minutes for a 1.03 goals-against average.
Historically, the series has favored Midwestern State, with ENMU trailing 7-19-3 in the all-time matchup against the Mustangs.
Following Saturday's home finale, the Greyhounds will conclude their 2025 season on the road, traveling to Laredo for a conference match against Texas A&M International on Tuesday, November 4. That match is scheduled for a 7 p.m. (CST) start.
