PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico Baseball and Lubbock Christian come into the weekend with an identical conference record (24-14), as the two teams will play each other in a four-game series at Greyhound Baseball Field this weekend. The series opener is on Friday evening (April 11), beginning at 6 p.m. The two teams return the next day to play a doubleheader, Saturday April 12, set to begin at 3 and 6 p.m. Both teams conclude the series on Sunday, April 13, beginning at 1 p.m.

SERIES INSIGHT
- Lubbock Christian has dominated the all-time series against the Greyhounds, holding a 46-12 overall record against ENMU. In conference play, Eastern is 2-13 against the Chaps.
- Last season, LCU wrapped up a regular season conference championship against the Greyhounds, sweeping ENMU in a four-game series.
- Both of the Greyhounds conference wins against the Chaps have happened in the last three years, with a 16-1 road victory (4/9/22) and a 13-9 home win (4/29/23).

- As a team, Eastern is hitting .327 this season, scoring 342 runs from 381 hits. ENMU has driven in 310 runs, recording 85 doubles, 18 triples, and 46 home runs. On the mound, the Greyhounds pitching staff has a 6.56 ERA, striking out 219 batters, allowing 253 runs from 371 hits.
- Willie Ponce has the leading batting average for the Greyhounds (.429), providing 57 hits, 39 runs scored, and 38 RBIs. Luciano Terilli leads the team with 58 hits and 50 runs scored, batting .408 on the season with 32 walks. Both Anthony Cortese and Kyle Kiernan both have around a .350 batting average, while Jalen Freeman leads the team with 42 RBIs and 21 stolen bases.

- Brevin McCool has stood out as one of the top hitters in the nation, batting .429 with 22 home runs and 60 RBIs. His 60 hits (10th), 22 home runs (1st), and 60 RBIs (7th) are all top 10 in the nation. Jacob Gutierrez also has a batting average above the .400 mark, with 61 hits and 35 RBIs. Nicklaus Baumbach has 62 hits and 39 RBIs this season, while Shea Bowen has a team high 37 walks this season (6th in nation).
- Ryan Markwardt is the ace on the mound for the Chaps, starting 10 games with a 5-3 record, holding a 3.57 ERA.
