PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico Baseball play its final series of the regular season at home, as Texas A&M International comes to Portales for a four-game series. The series begins on Friday, April 25, with a doubleheader scheduled for 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Both teams then play a single game on Saturday, April 26, and Sunday, April 27, beginning at 2 p.m. and 1 p.m., respectively.

SERIES INSIGHT
- The Greyhounds and Dustdevils have only played each other as conference opponents, with Texas A&M International leading the all-time series 10-8.
- At home the Greyhounds have a slight edge, 4-3, with ENMU winning three games back in 2023 against the Dustdevils.
- In recent meetings, Eastern is 5-5 against TAMIU. During last season's four-game series, the Greyhounds took both games of the doubleheader for a 2-2 split.
- The teams first played each other in 2020, with the Dustdevils taking the series 2-1 against the Greyhounds. TAMIU won the first two games (6-2 and 12-9), but the Hounds won the series finale, 9-6 (2/7-9/2020).
POSTSEASON IMPLICTIONS
- The Lone Star Conference standings are bunched up for the final few spots in the LSC Tournament. Positions four through eight are separated by just four games, with four games to play in the final weekend.
- Eastern New Mexico finds themselves in 8th place, outside of the top-7 that advance to the first round of the postseason. ENMU trail Texas A&M-Kingsville (7th place, 25-19 LSC) by one game, with both teams scheduled to play four games this weekend. TAMUK face West Texas A&M (T-5th Place, 26-18) in Canyon, Texas.
- The other key series to look out for is UT Tyler (2nd place, 36-8 LSC) and St. Mary's (T-5th place, 26-18 LSC) in Tyler, Texas. UTT has a chance to win the number one seed if 1st place Angelo State falters on the road at Cameron, while ENMU, TAMUK, and WT are eager to catch St. Mary's if they drop any games.
SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
- Eastern hold a 26-20 record, securing an above .500 win percentage for the first time since 2017. The Greyhounds have set a program record for conference wins with 24 and are in the hunt to reach the postseason for the fourth time ever.
- As a team, Eastern is hitting .318 this season, scoring 386 runs from 448 hits. ENMU has driven in 352 runs, recording 97 doubles, 18 triples, and 57 home runs. On the mound, the Greyhounds pitching staff has a 7.30 ERA, striking out 248 batters, allowing 341 runs from 468 hits.
- Willie Ponce has the leading batting average for the Greyhounds (.413), providing 66 hits, 49 runs scored, and 45 RBIs. Luciano Terilli leads the team with 69 hits and 58 runs scored, batting .411 on the season with 41 walks. Anthony Cortese leads the team in RBIs with 46, while Adrien Martin and Jalen Freeman have been important everyday bats for the Hounds.
- Josaiah Estrella leads all eligible pitchers with a 5.74 ERA, holding a 6-1 record. Adrian Rubio is holding opposing hitters to a .240 batting average from the bullpen, making 15 relief appearances with a 6-2 record over 40.1 innings.
