PORTALES, N.M. — Last week, the Eastern New Mexico University baseball team snapped a seven-game skid and posted a 10-6 win at Cameron. The win marked the Greyhounds' tenth of the season and the 52
nd of head coach
David Gomez, over his three seasons at Eastern.
Eastern will return to action on Friday, to open a three-game Lone Star Conference series at Angelo State, at 5:30 p.m. MT. The teams will conclude the series with a Saturday doubleheader at 12 p.m.
Daniel Ward is second in the Lone Star Conference in.404 batting (.404), slugging (.685), and on-base percentage (.476).
Justin Paul is fifth in the league in runs scored (30), tied for third in runs batted in (25), and seventh in hits (39). IN the field,
Dylan Nault is tied for sixth, with 12 double plays turned.
Over the first 34 games of the season, Ward and Paul have been Eastern's top batters, and have combined for nine homeruns. Paul has been exceptional on the base paths and is a perfect 12-12 on stolen-base attempts.
Scott Klein has posted a 2-2 record, with a team-best 3.21 earned-run average.
Nick DeArmond has fanned a team-high 30 batters.

Michael Holliday have emerged on the mound for the Hounds. Lemmon has posted a 1-1 record with a team-best 2.70 earned run average, while Holliday's ERA over that span is 4.82. Both pitchers have held the opposition below .300 at the plate. Ward was ENMU's top hitter against West Texas A&M and Cameron, with a .316 batting average, while Michael McNicholl cracked two homeruns.

Tregra Williams batted .500 over the series, while Paul contributed four hits, three runs batted in, and a stolen base. On the mound, Ward tossed six innings and limited the Rams to a .095 batting average with nine strikeouts.
Last season, ASU posted a 42-18 record and placed third in the LSC with a mark of 21-14. The Rams defeated Tarleton State for the LSC tournament title and St. Mary's for the regional crown. At the national championships. Angelo State posted a 5-0 win over Wilmington, sandwiched around losses to Henderson State.
