PORTALES, NM —After a four-game home stand the Eastern New Mexico University men's soccer team (2-5-1; HC 1-3) will depart the friendly confines of Al Whitehead Field at Greyhound Stadium. This week's two contests will mark the beginning of a six-game road swing.

The trip will open against UT-Permian Basin on Thursday, September 28, at 6 p.m. MT. An afternoon (12 p.m.) contest against Lubbock Christian will be played on Saturday.

Christopher Mesquita paced the Greyhounds with three goals this season. Ignacio Dicun, Mitchell Meisinger and Nicolai Alstrom all have two goals. Both of Alstrom's goals were dramatic game-winners.
Yuri Nascimiento and Cody Wann have split time in net this season and have combined for a 2.24 goals against average.

Head Coach Paul Tate is in his third season and with a 15-20-7 record is just one win away from catching Carlos Elizondo for the program record for victories.

The Falcons are 2-4-1 headed into this week, with both wins coming on the road. UTPB opened with a 4-2 win over Wayland Baptist and earned a 3-0 victory at Newman. Brandon Lee leads the Falcons with six goals and one assist. Lucas Gomes has been their primary goalkeeper and has a 1.99 goals against average with a .706 save percentage.
 
Eastern is 5-4-1 overall against UTPB with a 3-2 mark on the road. Last season, the Falcons won both meetings.

The Chaps are 3-5 on the season with a 2-2 mark in Heartland play.  Prior to Thursday's match against West Texas A&M, LCU has won three of their last five. Louis Callaghan paces the Chaps with three goals. Parker O'Quinn and Diego Goiabeira have split time in net and have combined for a 0.74 goals against average.
 
Eastern is 5-1-3 against Lubbock Christian with a 2-0-2 road record. The Hounds won both meetings last year by 2-1 scores.
